What is Controller in Laravel : Part 4

In Laravel, a controller is a class that handles the logic and acts as an intermediary between the
models (data) and the views (UI) of your application. Controllers are an essential part of the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern followed by Laravel.

A controller is responsible for processing incoming HTTP requests, retrieving or updating data from the models, and returning appropriate responses back to the client. It helps in organizing and separating different aspects of your application's logic, making it easier to manage and maintain.

 

How to make a controller?

Open Terminal And Type php artisan make: controller UserController

 

 

It will create for you a controller page name as UserController

Make Function in the Controller.
 

In UserController.php

}

 

Call controller from routing

 

Call controller from routing


In route import  your controller

use App\Http\Controllers\|UserController
Route::get("user",[UserController::class,"show"]);

Here  1st is Controller Class and 2nd is the function name.

 

 

Pass parameter in URL

 

In Route


Route::get("user/{id}",[UserController::class,"show"]);


Pass parameter {id}


Then change the controller function
